So you made it to another New Year and we are so proud of you! This year, be sure to give God the glory in your marriage and watch how He will grow it! Stand strong and know that you are in it to win it! Believe God to restore, heal, and deliver you and your spouse, to do His will!

Do you ever experience challenges in your marriage. God tells us to “count it all joy when you fall into diverse trials and tribulations, knowing that the testing of your faith works patience” James 1:2-3. Get INSPIRED TO PRAY! Don’t get me wrong,  I am not saying that you do not already pray, but I am talking about an effectual fervent prayer. 

Think about it for a minute, didn't you pray to get your job; your first promotion; that car you drive; or that spouse you love so dearly? I remember when I prayed for the man I have now been married to for almost 11 years.  A few years back we experienced some challenges in our marriage, and I remember praying that God would restore it and allow us to have a Godly marriage in Him again.  Wow!!!  If God was so awesome during those times for me, I am confident that He can bring you through your challenges. What could have changed so much or be so bad,  that you lose sight of what you know you need to do when circumstances arise that are beyond your control?  

Things will change in our lives because change is constant. But it is important to remember that God remains the same!  Although you may feel like your marriage has hit a brick wall and can’t progress, remain faithful to God, in prayer. You may say "but people around me seem to be progressing and flourishing in their marriage." Ok, you have a point, but you don't have a clue on what they really went through to get to where they are now! You really don't know the stripes they endured across the backs of their marriage, to get to that point of progression, so don't focus on that. Have Faith in your own marriage, and God's ability to bring it to fruition!!! 

Remember, if we meditate on the Word of God daily and use it to motivate and inspire ourselves and our own marriages, we will have a better opportunity to flourish in those areas as others do.  Pray sincerely for the restoration of your marriage, and for other marriages as well.  Fell good about doing it and appreciate the small steps you make towards progress.

The next time you encounter something in your life and want to change it, get INSPIRED TO PRAY about it FERVENTLY, and watch God work!!!
